Developments on the global oral health agenda have been very promising in the last few years with the World Health Organization (WHO) oral health resolution and the Global Strategy on Oral Health  being approved at the 74^th and 75^th World Health Assemblies (WHA) respectively. �������� was extremely delighted to note that our joint response to the public consultation of the global oral health strategy, which was supported by 65 organizations, made an impact on the final language included.

It was therefore of paramount importance that �������� provided input to the public consultation on . To ensure all views were reflected, �������� led a consultation with its stakeholders, including its members, Council, Committees, Task Teams, partners, and other organizations to ensure a comprehensive and consolidated response could be submitted.

Your views matter and can make an impact

The resolution on oral health requested WHO to translate the Global Strategy on Oral Health into an action plan for public oral health by 2023, including a framework for tracking progress with clear measurable targets of oral health to be achieved by 2030.

Further to WHO preparing a first draft discussion paper containing a proposed , which includes a series of evidence-informed actions and a monitoring framework to track progress, with a set of proposed targets, to be achieved by 2030. �������� opened up a consultation with its stakeholders and welcomed comments until 1 September. All input is now being consolidated so that a final submission can be made to WHO by the deadline of 16 September.

We will share the final response with you and thank everyone who sent their comments and input. It is so important to make your voice heard as we have seen that it can influence outcomes and ultimately it will be everyone’s responsibility to help implement the action plan so that we can ensure “oral health for all” in line with ��������’s Vision 2030.
